2 ❘ LOS CAB LIFE ❘ November 2017 MONSTER BASH ■ LOS CAB CELEBRATES 40TH ANNIVERSARY IN STYLE L os Cab's 40th anniversary celebration party was a spooky and spectacular success as about 225 people at- tended the Oct. 20 festivities that incorporated a casino night, de- licious food and desserts, and a Halloween costume contest – as well as bidding for a two-day Tennis Calcutta. "A majority of people dressed up for Halloween," said Los Cab Events Coordinator Thao Le. "The decorations were spooky and fun for the holiday spirit. Members, guests and staff min- gled, enjoyed entertainment, participated in casino games for a chance to win raffle prizes, took photobooth pictures, and adults got drinks at the bar." Highlights included music from DJ Tim Coy and a Hal- loween costume contest won by Michael Martin and his wife, Shelly, who dressed up as Bobby Riggs and Billie Jean King. Dylan Taylor, who dressed up as Mario Kart Super Mario, won the junior division. In addition, Los Cab owner and founder Jack Cameron, along with his wife, Barbara, and their family were presented a special recognition plaque. The event was catered by longtime Los Cab member Yadira Hernandez, owner of Costa Mesa's Pasta Connection. "Los Cab staff Thao Le, Tracy Harris, Porsche Robles, Ana Lopez, Nancy Cruz, Nicolas San- doval, Benito Hernandez, Placido Hernandez, Nancy O'Campo, Alesa O'Campo, Scott Halo, Linda Dorr, Chad Summers and Mike Kane did an excellent job setting up and decorating for our event," said Owner/Manager Carri Barr. "And a special thank you to all those who competed in the Tennis Calcutta, as well as members Nadine Brose, Young Choi and Jen Murphy for all of their volunteer help." This year's Tennis Calcutta was won by Captain Nick Doan's Team Yellow, while Captain Mark Murphy's Team Green were the finalists. 40TH ANNIVERSARY HALLOWEEN CASINO NIGHT AND TENNIS CALCUTTA SCROLL THROUGH THE SLIDESHOW TO SEE MORE PHOTOS! ................................................................................................................
