TAKE A CLASS WHILE THE POOL IS CLOSED T hough Los Cab's main pool will be closed for refurbish- ment through the end of the year, members can still take ad- vantage of swimming and land- based exercise classes. Three aqua classes will be offered and will take place at the Condo Pool: > AquaFit is a shallow water, non-stop aerobic challenge, where the focus is on strength toning, cardio, range of motion and flexibility. "The class is fast- paced and athletic, but it's great for everyone," said Fitness Director Marianne Grossman. > Digging Deep is a deep- water cardio session geared to build stamina and endurance. > Waterworks focuses on core body strength, endurance and flexibility. Individuals per- form physical movement at their own pace. Along with the aqua classes, Los Cab also offers land-based classes as an alternative. They include cardio, strength and balance, and are held in the main studio. > CLICK HERE to learn more. WATER WORKS ■ IMPROVEMENTS UNDER WAY AT LOS CAB'S MAIN POOL MAKING A SPLASH! T he Los Cab pool area is the visual centerpiece of the Racquet and Sports Club, but even it needs to be upgraded from time to time. The pool will be closed from Oct. 31 until Jan. 2, 2018, to make improvements. "All areas are reaching their lifespan and we are being proac- tive in order to stay on top of maintenance," said Los Cab's Mike Kane. When finished, Kane said the pool will be "completely refurbished and will serve us for another 20 years." Some of the key areas that will be worked on include new pool re-plastering, racing lines, filtra- tion system, chemical controllers and deck coating. There will also be a new ladder for the shallow end and new lane lines.
