A
UNIQUE
BLEND
OF
OPPORTUNITIES
TO
LOS
CAB
T
he
recent
arrival
of
United
Vol-
leyball
Club
to
Los
Cab
Sports
Village
will
provide
the
large
base
of
young
players
in
the
Huntington
Beach/Fountain
Valley
area
a
premier
base
to
hone
their
talent
close
to
home.
Open
to
boys
and
girls
ages
5
to
17,
UVC
is
currently
offering
open
gyms
on
Sundays
and
youth
leagues
and
training
on
Tuesdays
and
Thursdays.
Tryouts
for
the
upcoming
club
season
will
be
held
August
3-4.
"The
youth
leagues
have
been
wonder-
ful,"
said
Evren
Tanriverdi,
the
Founder
and
Director
of
the
United
Volleyball
Club.
"We
are
already
forming
some
really
great
younger
teams
for
our
future
at
Los
Cab."
UVC
offers
indoor
and
sand
coaching
and
training.
It
also
offers
access
to
youth
leagues
for
players
ages
5
through
12
and
team
club
play
in
the
Southern
California
Volleyball
Association
for
those
ages
13
through
17.
What
makes
the
UVC
different
from
many
volleyball
clubs,
Tanriverdi
said,
is
that
teaching
is
the
top
priority.
"It's
not
a
club
that
takes
care
of
its
top
teams
only
or
filled
with
high
school
coaches
pressing
players
to
join
the
club
they
represent,"
he
said.
"We
are
different
in
that
sense.
Our
coaches
love
and
priori-
tize
coaching
and
what
it
means
to
be
leaders."
Tanriverdi
said
he
couldn't
be
more
pleased
to
be
at
Los
Cab,
since
that
was
where
he
began
playing
club
volleyball.
"Los
Cab
has
it
all,"
he
said.
"My
roots
and
involvement
earning
multiple
open
national
championships
with
club
teams
all
started
at
Los
Cab.
We
built
an
un-
touchable
club
in
OC
because
of
all
the
re-
sources
Los
Cab
has
to
offer.
It
will
be
great
to
see
the
progress
over
the
next
5-10
years
and
we
are
happy
to
be
able
to
reach
out
to
the
many
new
young
players
with
ambitions
to
further
their
volleyball
ca-
reers
beyond
high
school.
