2 ❘ LOS CAB LIFE ❘ APRIL 2019 ● AROUND THE CLUB AN OPEN INVITATION ■ SPECIAL EVENT WILL SHOWCASE ALL THE CLUB HAS TO OFFER W ith spring fitness activities in full swing, Los Cab will host another Open House on Sunday, May 5, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The event is open to the public and will spotlight everything the club has to offer, both for members and those who are considering membership. The Open House will feature fam- ily fun at the pool, group fitness classes, "meet the trainer" sessions, orientations on equipment in the fit- ness center, sample classes, pickleball, a food truck, free child care, chil- dren's activities and much more. "We want both members and guests to discover everything that Los Cab is about," said Peggy Pocher, the club's head personal trainer. "There are so many activities, sports and fitness options for all ages at Los Cab." Pocher said one of the things she is most excited about is that the club has recently opened a separate Pilates re- former studio and trainers will be of- fering complimentary sample classes. While the primary objective of the event is to introduce non-members to the club, those who already belong may be surprised at what's in store. "We want our members to become more aware of the wide variety of amenities and activities here," Pocher said. "We are offering new classes, group training, athletic challenges and social opportunities all the time." Los Cab's Open House is set for May 5. SAVE THE DATES! ..................... F oodies from across the region will flock to Los Cab on Saturday, April 6, when Taste of Fountain Valley returns to the club for the third straight year. The event showcases a multitude of delectable sips and bites from more than 40 vendors. Tickets for the adults-only event are on sale at the front desk. ◆ ◆ ◆ S ummer may seem like a long way off, but members should mark their calendars for Monday, May 27, when Los Cab holds its annual Memorial Day Summer Kickoff Pool Party. The event features great food and drinks along with fun in the water that includes games, giant inflatables and slides. That weekend will also mark the next big tennis event as the club will host its annual Memorial Day Tennis Doo Dah. Expect the mood to be more fun than ultra-competitive. L os Cab's recently completed March Mad- ness competition has encouraged mem- bers to try new classes, and Fitness Director Marianne Grossman said that Pilates Re- former, Zumba and TRX have been among the most popular. While reservations are cur- rently required only for the Stride classes, Grossman said the popularity of Reformer, Zumba and TRX may lead to those classes requiring advance bookings. Also, those who enjoy getting their hearts beating fast in Bodypump and CXWORX classes will be excited for quarterly music and choreography relaunches that are coming April 14. ......................................................................... > VISIT loscab.com/group-fitness to learn more.
