Priscilla Kennedy takes on many roles
to help things run smoothly at Certified
I
n every company, there is
The Office. It's the hub
where everything from co-
worker correspondence to inter-
action with the public takes
place. For Certified Folder Dis-
play Service, that is the corpo-
rate office in Vista, California.
For the past three years, Priscilla
Kennedy has been the face and
voice of that office.
Though her title of Reception-
ist/Staff Assistant might sound
like her role is limited to answer-
ing phones or shuffling papers,
the reality is that her responsibil-
ities include many important
duties such as email sales and
service calls, dispersing mail
and FedEx packages, managing
inventory and keeping track of
rack and supply orders, and pro-
cessing contracts.
"I am sort of like a catch-all,"
Kennedy says. "I do many dif-
ferent things outside of my re-
ception responsibilities."
Prior to her current position,
Kennedy worked with her hus-
band on a family tourism project
in Argentina. A veteran of the
hospitality and tourism industry,
she felt Certified would be the
perfect fit – and, she says, she
was right. One of the reasons is
the company's atmosphere.
"I really enjoy the people I
work with and love how Certi-
fied has such a family-oriented
culture," she says. "Every day is
different, which is exciting – and
it's also rewarding to know that
I have a valuable role here at
Certified."
But that doesn't mean that
Kennedy, a Southern Californian
native who grew up in Valley
Center, is chained to a desk 24/7.
Since marrying Josh Kennedy,
she says she has become a "real
adventure seeker. We love to
travel, camp, go on motorcycle
trips, scuba dive and hike."
While she also finds time for
the more sedate pastime of
crafting, Priscilla's next big ad-
venture is a really big one:
nearly 20,000 feet of big.
"My husband and I are
headed to Africa this summer to
climb Mt. Kilimanjaro with his
grandfather and cousins,"
Kennedy said.
Priscilla Kennedy enjoys both being
at the office and spending time in the
great outdoors with her husband, Josh.
