LOS
CAB
POOL
SPARKLES
AFTER
COMPLETION
OF
RENOVATIONS
F

the
upgrades
to
the
Los
Cab
pool
have
been
completed.
Finishing
touches
were
recently
made
to
the
deck
and
new
lounge
chairs
were
put
in
place,
making
the
pool
ready
for
competitive
swimming,
aquatics
exercise
classes
and
more.
The
entire
project
took
several
months
to
complete
and
also
includes
new
plastering,
a
filtration
system,
chemical
controllers,
racing
and
lane
lines,
and
deck
coating.
General
Manager
Michael
Kane
said
the
renovation
has
upgraded
the
pool
area
tremendously.
"The
new
deck
coating
gives
us
a
uniformed
finish
and
enhances
the
look
—
and
it
is
also
easier
on
bare
feet,"
he
said.
"The
re-fiberglassing
was
a
maintenance
project
and
needs
to
be
done
every
10-15
years.
It's
the
same
with
the
filter
system
and
chem-
ical
controllers
—
they
were
at
their
life's
end
and
needed
to
be
replaced."
Kane
said
the
improvements
should
keep
the
refurbished
pool
functional
and
up
to
date
for
decades.
"Members
will
be
able
to
enjoy
the
pool
for
another
20
years,"
he
said.
