■ BASKETBALL CAMP CENTERS ON FUNDAMENTALS
T
here's a camp coming to Los Cab Sports Village
where aspiring basketball players can improve
their skills by learning to master the fundamentals.
Basketball Camps Orange County is for boys and
girls from ages 8 to 14 who are interested in improving
their performance on the court, says Coach Matt
Beeuwsaert, aka Coach Beez. Groups are broken up based
on age and ability and various fundamentals are taught
during the morning, with kids scrimmaging after lunch.
"I love to see our energy and passion for the game rub
off on the kids at camps, and hope they return that energy
to the coaches," Coach Beez said. "Even more special is
when all their hard work pays off on the court, creat-
ing more confidence in their abilities as players."
The Spring Break/Easter Camp will run April 2-5 from
9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. It is similar to Coach Beez's
other camps, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Sum-
mer Camps, which have been held for the past 10 years.
The cost is $160 per player, and $140 for each sibling.

A
multi-sport weekly camp
designed to promote over-
all fitness to kids ages 4 to
13 years old is coming to Los Cab
this summer. Bounce Sports Camp
will focus on areas such as sports-
manship through teamwork, instill-
ing confidence, refining motor
skills and the appreciation of
sports and fitness, while promoting
a fun environment, according to
Camp Director Kevin Jackson.
"Students will gain some educa-
tion in fitness and health while par-
ticipating in a variety of sports,
including tennis, basketball and
volleyball," Jackson said. "I think
it's important for people to be ex-
posed to a variety of sports and fit-
ness at a young age so they can
grow up to be healthy, active
adults."
Bounce Sports Camp will begin
on June 25 and will run through
August 31. There will be full-day
and half-day options available.
Special pricing is being offered
to Los Cab members, who can at-
tend camp for $290 per week for a
full day and $190 per week for a
half day. In addition, extended
child care will be available for $70
per full day or $35 per half day.
