SUPER SUNDAY! ■ TENNIS DOO DAH HIGHLIGHTED BY FAMILY FUN, COMPETITION ON THE TENNIS COURTS… O ne of the best Super Bowls in the 52-year history of the event served as the backdrop for Los Cab's first Tennis Doo Dah of the year. All told, 120 people came out for the fes- tivities with 73 playing in the Doo Dah. Members and invited guests com- peted on the courts, received a catered lunch and special event sweatshirts, and gathered to watch the big game in the tennis lounge, where the crowd favorite Eagles upset the Patriots, 41-33. And while socializing is a big part of each Doo Dah, tennis remains the focus. "It's always exciting to find out which teams get to move on to the champi- onship round," said Events Coordinator Thao Le. "This year, two teams were tied so we had semifinals." The winning team was Johnny Cheng, Kailee You, Carol Todd, Kurt Hubler and Marji Achzenick. The other finalists were Ed Palaci, Yvonne Stoner, Pat Yarbrough, Conner McCartney and Kevin Ramazon. "It's great to see tennis players of all ages participate," Le said. "There was a lot of family fun and competition on the courts. And this continued throughout the day as members and guests rooted for their favorite Super Bowl team." T here will be a new online look coming to Los Cab Sports Village soon, and the refreshed website will better highlight all that the club has to offer while adding convenience for members. Set to debut in early February, the new LosCab.com will feature a contemporary look and color scheme, but more importantly, a client portal will be added that will allow members to register for classes and events online. Access to event calendars will be improved, and there will be a blog that includes tips and instruction on tennis, fitness, nutrition and more. "The site will show members everything that is going on at Los Cab," said Kevin Jackson, who developed the state-of-the-art site. "We intend to highlight all the benefits available at the club."
