ur Western-themed Twilight Golf
event was played on June 14,
and close to 100 members came
out to enjoy golf and dinner.
The team of Jim and Leslie Earley and
Gary and Linda Mason won the front 9
with a fantastic score of 51, while Richard
and Diana Gillis paired with Duff and
Rikki Daniels to shoot 55 and secure
second place.
On the back 9, Speed and Shirley
Torrance paired with Bob and Susie
McCollom to shoot 59 and take home
first-place honors. Finishing in a tie for sec-
ond were the teams of Clay and Alice
Thompson with Tad and Diane Kyle, and
Harry and Maria Brown who played with
Stephen Gross and Jill Kirkwood.
Congratulations to all the winners and
a huge "thank you" to Tom and Ruthie
Sheffield for chairing the event.

hen listing the winners for the Junior Club Champi-
onship in the June edition of The Divot, we failed to
include our 9-Hole Girls champion. Congratulations go out
to Sophia Wahlstrom for her great play in capturing the
title. Sophia shot a very impressive score of 39 on the front 9
to win the title. Congrats, Sophia!
A
pair of returning champions and a team
new to the winner's circle shared the
spotlight together at this year's Couples'
Club Championships that took place at El Niguel
Country Club on July 8-9.
John and Vickie Norton were in fine form de-
fending the Gross title they had captured last year,
while Duff and Rikki Daniels played some very nice golf to cap-
ture their first-ever Net championship.
Finishing in the runner-up position on the Net side were the
teams of John and Linda Milliken and Bill and Terri Moore, who
finished tied, two strokes behind the champions.
Congratulations to all the winners.
