CELEBRATIONS
I
f the pool at Los Cab is full of
splashing, smiling kids and
adults with the sun shining and
the aroma of barbecue grills filling
the air, it can only mean one thing –
the club's annual Memorial Day
celebration is a huge success.
Members and their guests kicked
off the unofficial start to summer on
May 27, with a spectacular party at
the pool and a fun and spirited Doo
Dah on the tennis courts. Adding to
the festive atmosphere was an Open
House that showed off the latest up-
grades and offerings to members
and introduced guests to all the
club's amenities.
At the pool, participants of all
ages enjoyed games and giant inflat-
ables, while kids enjoyed plenty of
thrills on the splash slide and put
their creative talents to use with var-
ious craft stations. Holiday food and
beverages were served to those who
were willing to drag themselves out
of the water, while kids explored a
fun house obstacle course.
On the tennis courts, approxi-
mately 100 members mixed in plenty
of laughs along with forehands and
backhands – keeping with the tradi-
tion of the club's Doo Dahs, which
skew more social than competitive.
With plenty of summer fun on the
horizon, the Memorial Day party
was a grand way to usher in the best
time of the year. TK Burgers and
shave ice were available for lunch,
all players went home with a T-shirt,
and Wilson tennis reps were on site
for a demo day showcasing its latest
gear along with giveaways.
