MARCH 2019 ❘ THE DIVOT ❘ 3 ● FROM THE BOARD BEAT THE DRUM ■ HELP BUILD YOUR CLUB'S ENTERTAINMENT CULTURE INTO SOMETHING SPECIAL our entire membership. Whether it is our Speaker Se- ries, Wine Dinners, or Concerts on the Patio, there is something for everyone. That said, we want YOU to have fun! If there is a great party you attended or a great idea for a party that you come across, please let man- agement know so that we can discuss it in our committee meetings. As we look to build on the successes of our past events this year, we need your help. It is my belief that our mem- bership is made up of many social circles. Each of these cir- cles tends to have a few lead- ers that coordinate many of the social events for their group. These people are commonly referred to as "party animals" or "social butterflies" – you know who you are and we need YOU! If you fit that description, then consider yourself a social ambassador for El Niguel. We need you to think ENCC for your next party. Take a look at our entertainment calendar and instead of hosting a party at your place where you have to buy food, cook, clean, make drinks, etc., let the Club do the heavy lifting for you and just have fun. Imagine if all of our social circles work together to bring our friends to the Club – we will all share in the exponen- tial laughter and make memories to last a lifetime. Hopefully, you are inspired and realize that the next event at the Club is our St. Patrick's Day Party on Sunday, March 17. This is a great opportunity to beat the drum and get your friends and family to the Club for a party to remember. Where else are you going to go for great Irish food, music, Irish whiskey and craft beer tasting? If you need a little more lead time than a couple of days, we understand. Start making the calls and getting reservations for Trivia Night on Friday, March 29. This is a new event and should inspire some serious competition for you and your friends off the course. I will leave you with a few suggestions for 2019: > Attend a Chef Wine Dinner. > RSVP ASAP for our Summer Patio Concert fea- turing Eagles tribute band Desperado (it will sell out). > Beat the Drum … help build your club's enter- tainment culture into something special. This year's Super Bowl party treated more than 125 members to a first-class food and viewing experience that many claimed to be the "best" Super Bowl party they ever had attended. Those types of crowds and reviews are what inspire your Entertainment Committee to dream up new parties and make current favorites even better – so thank you! El Niguel has a robust 2019 entertainment calendar with events designed for Next up: St. Patrick's Day celebration.
