4 ❘ THE DIVOT ❘ MARCH 2019 ● GENERAL MANAGER'S MESSAGE SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE ■ UPCOMING EVENTS ON AND OFF THE COURSE SPOTLIGHT CLUB BENEFITS classes and are looking to add a couple more dates for the folks on the waiting lists. At the end of the month we will also be hosting our first Trivia Night. Bring a team, or we'll pair you up if you prefer, and test your smarts against your fellow members! Next month, we celebrate Easter weekend with our Spring Carnival on Saturday and Champagne Brunch on Sunday. This is one of my fa- vorite weekends of the year celebrating with you and your families. There is a little something for everyone and we've got some surprises in store that you won't want to miss. Later this spring, we'll be partying it up for Cinco de Mayo and then kicking off summer with our Cornhole Tourna- ment. Our Annual Family Campout is back this summer as well. Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 3, because this is going to be the biggest and best campout yet. In September, we're bringing in Desperado, an Ea- gles tribute band, to celebrate and to show our ap- preciation for you the members. Stay tuned for more details on this special event as we get closer. Out on the course, we're already gearing up for our tournaments. Our Men's and Ladies' Presidents Cup take place this spring, along with our Men's Spring Classic. Both our Thursday evening Wine & Nine and Friday evening Couples' Twilight events start up in May. If you haven't had the chance to participate in our Wine & Nine events you should definitely come check them out. There is some golf, but the focus is all about the wine and the wonderful hors d'oeuvres that we're serving out on the course. It's an experience unlike anything else we do at the Club. Couples' Twilights are always some of the most popular events and we expect a great turnout after taking a year off for the renovation. Plans are also already under way for our Men's and Ladies' Member-Guest Tournaments that take place in July. These events are truly special and a per- fect opportunity to showcase the Club to your family, friends and associates. And speaking of showcasing the Club, I en- courage you to keep "talking up" the Club at every occasion and inviting col- leagues and friends to enjoy all that El Niguel has to offer. Our list of members wishing to sell their memberships continues to stay small as so many of you continue to bring friends and family into the Club. We appreciate and always welcome your feed- back. If you haven't yet had the opportunity to com- plete the Membership Satisfaction Survey, please do so. It's a valuable tool for us to ensure that we're meeting your needs and heading in the right direc- tion to continuously improve on your member expe- rience. I look forward to seeing you around the Club. – KIMBERLY WOOD, General Manager A s I write this to you I'm so happy because the sun is finally out! That means that spring is in sight and with it a very busy season both inside the clubhouse and on the golf course. I hope you'll join us this weekend as we celebrate all things Irish with our St. Patrick's Day Party. We have a delicious menu planned with a modern take on tra- ditional Irish classics, drink specials, live music and dancing. Bring the whole fam- ily out for a fun night at the Club. Later this month, we have the first in our series of cooking classes with Chef Bruno. We've had a tremendous response for these These events are a perfect opportunity to showcase the Club.
