2 ❘ TEE TIMES ❘ MARCH/APRIL 2018 GET INVOLVED ■ THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO CONTRIBUTE I t's an exciting time at El Cab! Our front entry remodel project is under way and construction is going smoothly so far. This is an important undertaking for our club and will dramatically improve our first im- pression and, for the first time in our history, will give us controlled access into the property. I for one enjoy and ap- preciate the privacy and relaxation that El Cab offers all of us. This new front entrance will only enhance and improve that experience. The U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball is fast approaching and I would like to thank Jeff Kramer and Ruth Harris, the co-chairs of this event, for all their hard work, time and effort that they have put in to make this a great championship. I would also like to thank our committee chairs and those of you who have reg- istered to be volunteers for the championship. This would not be possible without your help and support. And it's not too late to volunteer. Please consider being a part of this historic event at El Cab and putting our club in the national spotlight. As I enter my final couple months as President, I am reminded of how humbled I have been to represent the membership at a place I love so much. I have taken this responsibility very seri- ously, sometimes too seriously, but I have enjoyed every minute of it. I believe our Club is in great hands for the future. However, that only happens with member volunteers. That starts with vol- unteering for a committee. That's how I got involved many years ago. I wanted to be involved and try to make the Club better and more exciting. So, I volunteered for the newly formed NexGen Committee and then that turned into six other committees over the years. I would highly encourage you, if you have a passion for something at the Club, to volunteer for a committee. The Annual Meeting is coming up on May 24, where we have a new Board installed. That new Board will be looking for new committee members. Now is the time to get involved and help shape El Cab's success long into the future. Please contact any of our committee chairs or our General Manager Phil Lopez if you are interested in serving on a committee.
