DISTRIBUTION SPOTLIGHT
E
verything is bigger and better
at the California Welcome Cen-
ter in San Francisco following
a recent move into its larger and more
prominent space at Pier 39, a water-
front shopping center and popular
tourist attraction featuring shops,
restaurants, a video arcade, the
Aquarium of the Bay and more.
The move marks a 20th anniver-
sary of sorts for Certified Folder
Display, which began servicing the
San Francisco California Welcome
Center on October 1, 1996. The new
site at Pier 39 opened this year on
November 22.
"People really like the new loca-
tion," said Lisa Jackson, Vice Presi-
dent of Sales and Marketing at the
California Welcome Center. "They
love the look of the racks with the
Golden Gate Bridge backdrop."
Pier 39 is one of 17 Welcome Center
distribution locations Certified Folder
Display services in California.
Jackson said one of the best things
about having the Certified Folder
Display brochures and magazines
available is that "it extends our
knowledge of California for the visi-
tor. Having the rack cards available
helps us keep the visitor informed
about all the amazing areas to visit."
Tourists find the brochure racks
beneficial in that they make it easy to
discover a wide range of options and
ideas for things to do during their
stay, such as taking San Francisco
City Tours, as well as visiting Wine
Country, Yosemite and Muir Woods.
More than a quarter of a million
tourists visit the Welcome Center in
San Francisco each year. Of those,
approximately 60-70 percent leave
with a brochure or magazine from
the Certified displays, Jackson said.
