Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon Na-
tional Park are located in Southern Utah, and

SeaWorld San Diego opened in 1964 when
four UCLA graduates set out to build an under-
water restaurant and marine life show. With a
few dolphins and sea lions alongside six
amusement park-style attractions, the 22-acre
park had more than 400,000 guests in the first
year. More than 50 years later, four-million-plus
visitors travel each year to the world-famous
destination with educational exhibits, rides, and
entertainment.

Salt Lake City was founded in 1847 and has
since grown into a major metropolitan area
comprising 1.1 million people. Nicknamed the
Crossroads of the West, it gained increased in-
ternational recognition as the host of the 2002
Winter Olympics. Located at the base of the
Wasatch Mountain Range in Utah, Salt Lake City
attracts visitors for its winter recreation, with
world-class skiing and snowboarding minutes
