INSIDE CERTIFIED
THE THRILL OF SUMMER
Brochures key to promoting attractions and activities
O
ne of the best things about summer is taking a vacation.
And chances are that if you stay in a hotel or visit any
tourist area during your next trip that you will find one
of our Certified Folder Display Service brochure racks filled with
exciting things to see and do.
You'd be surprised at how spontaneity plays a big
role for many vacationers. A recent survey con-
ducted by Bentley University indicated that
when guests are at their hotel, seeing a print dis-
play with brochures often drives impulse and
spur-of-the-moment decisions.
In fact, the survey said, printed brochures and
maps are still the most popular choice for
concierge staff and guests who inquire about local at-
tractions and tourism activities once they arrive at their
destination. You can read about the survey, along with more great
travel tidbits and information, in this issue.
In addition, you can read all about Mexico's new Cross Border
Xpress, which serves nearly 2,000 travelers a day, as well as the
innovative strides we're making in the digital world to help con-
nect travelers with tourist destinations and attractions.
And if you're looking for a really fun summer vacation, check
out the feature story on Raft Masters. I'm sure you'll get a thrill
out of it!
