The newly formed North County Economic Development Corporation is beginning to build on its initial momentum by assuming oversight of the North County Business Journal, ramping up its fund-raising and grant writing capa- bilities, and preparing to host the North County Economic Summit set for early spring. But we can't do it alone. As the "voice of North County," funding is needed to allow us to continue to serve our re- gion. Funding allows the NCEDC to initiate, spon- sor, and launch meaningful and educational events for the entities of North County. For example, the Business Journal is connected to our mission of promoting and marketing our re- gion, while the Economic Summit is tied to our vision of creat- ing a prosperous North County and educating our stakeholders. The community can get involved by making a tax-deductible donation or becoming an annual contributing member of the San Diego North County Economic Development Council, which helps build a stronger North County through regional collaboration and leadership. (CLICK HERE to learn more.) We are excited to serve, add value, and advocate on behalf of the businesses, non-profits, schools, and political entities that make North County a great place to live, work, and play. As the NCEDC gains momentum, the joy of it all comes from serving and making a positive impact for those nearest and dearest in our communities.
