Wine trip memories… Steve Freestone: "The entire experience, from beginning to end, was first class. Having been on nu- merous VIP wine and spirit trips owing to my dis- tributor background, I can confidently say that this trip, fused with the cordial populace of both ENCC and members, is indeed matchless. This memorable trip filled with laughter, education, and blossoming friendships won't be forgotten anytime soon." Jim and Deborah Axelson: "Visiting Santa Ynez Valley and learning about the Valley's unique micro-climate, the Viticulture Area, the many vari- etals of grapes grown, was nothing short of remark- able. Lori LeBard deserves applause for the meticulous detail and preparation. Being a small group, we had the privilege of spending quality time with the winemakers and owners. The standout scenery, Crown Point's tour, barrel tasting, library wines, and Gainey's exquisite four-course menu by Chef Bruno have left lasting impressions. Add to it the joy of golfing, specialty lunches – the entire journey was nothing short of epic. A big cheers and heartfelt gratitude to Patrick, Lori, Chef Bruno, and ENCC." Tom Sheffield: "The first-class touring and tast- ings of Crown Point, Gainey and Happy Canyon wineries were made even more special with Lori's custom swag bags and artful touches, her brother's winemaking and passionate lecture, and Chef Bruno's brilliant food pairings. After-party gatherings at unique local establishments and cocktails around the fire pit are lifetime memories. Another trip highlight was golf at Sandpiper with fellow back nine resident grinder Ed Indvik and our beloved CEO/GM and PGA legend Patrick Casey. The resulting group bond has developed into some great friendships, and we are looking forward to our next exciting outings!" The red-carpet treatment at Gainey Vine- yard was remarkable, as our members enjoyed an unforgettable fine-dining experience. The four- course tasting menu, prepared by Executive Chef Bruno Massuger, paired perfectly with Gainey's ex- ceptional wines. Fun fact: Jeff LeBard, my brother, is the Winemaker and Entertainer at the vineyard! Each of these wineries brought forth a unique character, innovative practices, and unparalleled passion for winemaking.
