2 • THE DIVOT | SPRING 2022 BY PATRICK CASEY, PGA CEO/GENERAL MANAGER D ear El Niguel Members, I would like to thank you for the warm welcome that I have re- ceived over the first three months as your CEO/General Manager. I am excited to be a part of the El Niguel family and look for- ward to leading our Board and manage- ment team as we deliver on our mission, vision, and values. MISSION: The mission of El Niguel Country Club is to provide exceptional golf, coupled with memorable dining, social, and entertainment activities for its members, their families, and guests that fosters friendship and fellowship within a private member-owned setting. VISION: Our vision for El Niguel Country Club is to brand our Club as a high-quality golf course committed to all levels of play from championship compe- tition to social and family recreation. We will be the family center not only for golf, but for social gatherings of friends, family, and related junior golf activities. VALUES: Our mission and vision are based on a set of values that are well es- tablished among our members. They begin with a respect for the game of golf and its long history of civility and honor. Our values continue with strong consid- eration for fellow players and their guests; friendliness to everyone in the club, re- sponsibility for not only the golf course, but all the facilities and operations; pride in being a member; open and honest com- munications within the proper channels; integrity in every action; and a commit- ment to personal accountability in all as- pects of membership. I have enjoyed becoming thoroughly familiar with the culture and traditions of El Niguel Country Club. We have much to be proud of and have great opportuni- ties moving forward. The membership has been welcoming and lives up to our "SoCal Social" vibe. I have spent one-on-one time with nearly half of our team members and look forward to continuing to get to know and develop our professional relationship while being a reliable leader, mentor, and coach for them to thrive for the better- ment of the Club. I look forward to con- tinuing to operate with a visible presence and approachable leadership style and de- veloping our relationships as we embark on this journey together. Having attended three Board meetings and all committee meetings, I am quickly getting up to speed on Club operations, the existing Club business model and staffing structure. I look forward to intro- ducing fresh perspectives for both our short- and long-term goals as well as pol- ishing the existing member experiences and gradually unveiling new ideas, serv- ices, and amenities. I am pleased to report that the Club is in a strong and favorable fiscal position and look forward to working with our Board, committees, and management team to use our resources to better the Club in Charting a clear course With our mission, vision and values, El Niguel Country Club is poised for CEO/GM REPORT
