6 • THE DIVOT | WINTER 2022
H
opefully, most of you have seen
the recently released 2022 Golf
Events Calendar. I wanted to
make sure that everyone took a
close look at their schedules as some of the
dates have changed from last year.
Due to slight modifications to our aerifi-
cation plan – especially near the beginning
of the year – we've made adjustments to our
first two major men's events in April.
The 2022 President's Cup will begin play
following March aerification rather than
prior to the event as we have in year's past –
which meant that several rounds were played
with non-optimal green conditions. This
change means the greens will be in ideal
shape for the entirety of the event.
With the slight delay of the President's
Cup, the Men's Spring Classic also will be
pushed back several weeks to the end of
April. The Men's Tradition will remain on
the schedule for the third full week of May.
For our new members, be sure to mark
your calendars for the six point-earning
"major" events we have each year. These
events are found in red on the Golf Events
Calendar. We want to get you earning your
points right away, and playing in these great
tournaments is one of the best ways to get to
know your fellow members.
We have another full year of events on tap
and we look forward to creating new and
lasting memories. We'll continue to keep you
notified about upcoming events and sign-up
information through both the Friday Tee
Talks as well as our Club emails.
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you
have questions about any of our events
throughout the year.
