10 • THE DIVOT | SUMMER 2021 JUNIOR GOLF REPORT Youth movement Get to know 18 young El Niguel Country Club golfers who are making great strides toward achieving their goals on the course < Kyle An Kyle recently made a verbal commit- ment to play at UCLA. Last June, he placed third in the 2021 CIF/SCGA SoCal Boys High School Champion- ship, following a stellar 2020, in which he won the SCPGA Junior Tour Toyota Tour Cup. < Jason Bannister The 2020 ENCC Junior Club Cham- pion recently won the Indiana Boys Jr. PGA and the 2021 CIF Southern Section Coast League Individual Championship. The 18-year-old has future golf ambitions that include playing in college and professionally. < Carlie Duvall Received a Varsity Letter and Scholar Athlete Award at Dana Hills High School. The 14-year-old also made the League All-Star Team. < Sonnie Duvall The 15-year-old Dana Hills High School student received the JV Most Improved Player Award and con- tinues to play for fun and to im- prove. < Sydnie Duvall Sydnie earned South Coast League MVP honors and was League Indi- vidual Girls Champion. The 15- year-old Dana Hills High School students wants to participate on a college golf team. < Zoie Fuentes On the Dana Hills High School golf team, the 16-year old made First Team South Coast League and came in third in the South Coast League. She's working to obtain a scholar- ship and play for a Division 1 col- lege golf team. < Graden Huang The 16-year-old has been the St. Margaret's Episcopal Varsity Golf Team Captain during his junior and senior years and recently advanced to the CIF Individual Sectionals. < Victor Li The 8-year-old has three wins on the U.S. Kids Orange County Golf Tour in 2021 and won the tour's Boys 8 Spring Championship. He's also been racking up top-3 3nishes on the SCPGA Junior Development and Future Champions Golf tours.
