Playing the course in an entirely new way, the 3rst-time event featured a 2-player Scramble and Backward Par 3s for a fun and challenging format. An awards presentation followed, with optional Taco Thursday dining. The event served as a great way for the ladies to enjoy the incredible amenities of the Club. u u u Nifty Niner news A re you a new golfer or just rusty and want to get back into the game? Nifty Niners is here to help! The group meets most Thurs- days from 9-9:30 a.m. with a clinic from PGA Professional Wade Wilson, followed by nine holes of golf and lunch for those who can stay longer. The ladies are hard at work establish- ing their handicaps and building new friendships. A huge thank you for staying vigilant, patient, exible, and, most importantly, healthy throughout. We are thrilled to be "back to nor- mal" now that gathering size and spacing restrictions have ended. In- person General Meetings, group luncheons, and shotgun starts are back. Please sign up for future tour- naments and events. Stay for lunch, too – it was our most-often asked question throughout the pandemic! We now have 210 WGA members, including 25-plus new members just this year. Golf is popular! If you see a new face, be sure to introduce yourself and ask them to play. It's wonderful to see so many participat- ing in our WGA events, including Tuesday Sweeps, Ringer, Major Tour- naments, Guest Days, Ladies Team, and Nifty Niners. Finally, I'd like to congratulate the winners from our recent Member- Member, Ringer, Ladies Team, Pres- ident's Cup and May and June Guest Day tournaments. Nice playing! We're back!
