IN
2019, our California offices focused on growth by expanding
our reach into new territories—both physically and profession-
ally. In terms of physical expansion, we were very fortunate to
add the flourishing CPA practice of Ericson CPAs to our California practice.
Located in San Luis Obispo, Patricia Ericson and her team bring a high
level of expertise to the Central Coast for our California practice. We also
expanded our Forensic & Financial Services team in San Diego with the
acquisition of Brinig Taylor Zimmer, Inc. this year.
Professionally, many of our practice groups have had continued growth in
2019, including technology, life sciences and real estate, and have helped
our clients with their growth in big ways. The Engagements of Note section
on page 18 has some great examples of this, including a client that we helped take public in 2016 at $10
per share which is now up to $40 per share. I am also thrilled that seven of our practitioners were recog-
nized by various business journals around the state for their outstanding commitment to the growth and
success of their clients and communities. Another way we've expanded our professional capabilities is by
gaining an understanding of the intricacies of the world of iGaming and eSports. Our California practice
continues to stay ahead of trends in the marketplace to maintain a better understanding of the market as a
whole and what our clients' current and future needs will be.
We are pleased to offer you another Year in Review where we can showcase some of our 2019 accomplish-
ments. As we continue to seek new opportunities to better serve our clients and expand our business, we
look forward to continuing this growth to better serve you in 2020.
