HOLDS
A
FUN
FAMILY
EVENT
UNDER
THE
STARS
F
or
many
adults,
memories
of
sleeping
under
the
stars
on
warm
summer
nights
are
among
their
favorite
recollections
of
childhood.
El
Niguel
members
and
their
guests
got
to
replicate
that
experience
with
their
chil-
dren
at
the
Club's
Family
Camp
Out
on
August
3
–
and
by
all
measures,
the
event
was
a
huge
success
with
kids
and
adults
alike.
Campers
pitched
their
tents
all
around
the
short-game
practice
area
in
the
late
afternoon,
then
enjoyed
dinner
from
a
food
truck
provided
by
The
Habit,
as
well
as
a
bar
for
the
adults
and
two
ice
cream
"troughs"
for
the
kids.
"We
handed
out
spoons
and
the
kids
all
went
to
town
–
they
were
in
sugar
heaven,"
Catering
Director
Rena
Mc-
Camey
said.
Activities
included
inflatables,
fishing
in
the
lake,
a
scavenger
hunt
and,
of
course,
making
S'mores
by
the
campfire.
Kids
had
tons
of
fun
with
the
old-fash-
ioned
dunk
tank,
as
three
of
the
Club's
golf
professionals
volunteered
to
be
sit-
ting
ducks
and
the
kids
did
their
best
to
knock
them
off
their
perches
into
the
water
by
hitting
the
target.
After
the
sun
went
down,
families
enjoyed
an
outdoor
screening
of
the
animated
movie
"Sing,"
along
with
glow
sticks
that
added
to
the
summertime
campout
atmosphere.
Families
then
slept
under
the
stars
and
awoke
to
an
outdoor
breakfast
before
packing
up
their
tents
and
their
memo-
ries
until
next
summer.
