MAKING
AN IMPACT

MEMBERS WHO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND

OW! I often hear from
our members and guests
alike that one of the key
aspects that sets El Niguel apart
from other clubs is our staff. It is
one of the best compliments I re-
ceive. I agree that we have an in-
credible team, and each and every
one of them help to make El Niguel a very special place.
Do you know how many employees we have at El
Niguel? Some of you may be surprised to know that we
have more than 100 employees working here. While
there are many faces that you recognize, I'm sure there
are just as many that you never see because they are
busy working behind the scenes.
We have staff focused on the Club's
Accounting, Administration, Club-
house Maintenance, Food and Bever-
age Service, Golf Course Maintenance,
Kitchen, Locker Rooms, Outside Serv-
ices, Pro Shop and Tee House. From
the crew that washes the dishes to the
mechanic that keeps our golf course
maintenance equipment in tip-top
shape, it takes all of us to continually
keep this Club operating at such a
high level.
Andrew, our Clubhouse Manager,
has helped develop a new staff recog-
nition program that we'll be rolling
out club-wide this month called
WOW! The WOW! Program provides
the opportunity for members and/or
staff to submit a WOW Card for an
employee. These cards are designed to
recognize employees who have gone
above and beyond, provided a memorable experience
or somehow created a personal connection.
WOW Cards will be available at the Front Desk,
Hostess Stand and in the Pro Shop. There will be a box
to drop completed cards in at the Front Desk. Each
month the Department Heads will review the WOW
Card submissions and select one that stands above the
rest for that month's winner. The selected WOW Card
will be shared in The Divot and that employee will re-
ceive a gift card. All employees with a WOW Card sub-
mission will also be recognized in The Divot and with
the rest of the staff.
We strive to provide a memorable experience for
members and guests while they are at the Club. I be-
lieve there are countless examples of staff having done
this for you and am confident that this WOW! Program
will help continue encouraging the staff that the care
they put into their jobs does not go unnoticed.
I hope you'll take a moment the next time you have a
WOW moment at the Club to fill out a card and let us
know about it.
