JULY 2019 ❘ THE DIVOT ❘ 15 members of all ages enjoyed lis- tening to the two bands alternate playing songs and collaborate on a few tunes at the end of the evening. "I can't remember the last time our members had such a blast," Catering Director Rena McCamey said. "They were dancing all night, shaking tambourines and having a great time. Both bands were fantastic, and people were up and moving the whole time." ◆ ◆ ◆ While the celebration was de- layed a month, there was still a festive atmosphere for the Sum- mer Kick-Off Party on June 30. Approximately 120 revelers took over the practice putting green and surrounding area to enjoy live music, a barbecue din- ner, games and a rock wall for kids. Chef Bruno's new ice cream bicycle was a big hit, and a corn- hole tournament for adults turned into a competitive affair. Ryan Grant and his guest took home first place, while John Williams and his son finished second. Richard Schwartz earned bronze. "People practiced in advance and really wanted to take home trophies," McCamey said with a laugh.
