BY CRAIG PLUMLEY, PGA
A
t some point in the near future, we will fi-
nally get to enjoy all of the positive effects
of the rains we've been experiencing. The
grass will begin to grow like crazy, construction
scars will repair themselves, the green surrounds
will become even better than they already are, and
the putting surfaces will remain as good as they have always been.
We will also jump head first into our tournament season.
If you have not already received it, the Men's Spring Classic
entry form will be in your mailbox in the coming days. This will be
the 2nd Annual Spring Classic and we look forward to it officially
kicking off our tournament season. We will continue to update the
membership via email on all upcoming men's, women's and cou-
ples' events as the season moves forward.
On another note, we were excited to sell out our first Men's
Guest Day of the year. With close to 70 players on the waiting list,
we've decided to keep our next event in May limited to one guest
per member. Should the tournament fail to sell out, we will open
up spots for multiple guests at some point prior to the event.
Finally, our Men's Team Play season has come to a close. Our
Thursday team finished with a 4-2 record and just missed out on
going to the playoffs. It was one of the best seasons we've seen
from our Thursday team in quite a few years so a big congratula-
tions to the guys for doing so well. Our Saturday team started off
the year strong, but finished with a 1-5 record. Our Silver Senior
team has just started its season and is 1-1, and our Ladies team just
kicked off its season on March 14.
Good luck to the Silver Senior team and our Ladies team as their
seasons progress.
