4 ❘ THE DIVOT ❘ OCTOBER 2018 BY THE BOOK ■ WITH SO MANY MEMBERS BACK ENJOYING THE CLUB, IT'S A GOOD TIME TO REVIEW THE RULES I t's great to have so many Mem- bers back at the Club! With sum- mer travel finished and the kids back in school, we're already gearing up for a busy fall and holiday season. We're so happy to see you engaged and bringing your guests to enjoy Chef Bruno's delicious dining offer- ings, the many social activities planned by Rena McCamey and the Entertainment Committee and, of course, the newly renovated golf course! As we head into this busy season, it is also a good time for a re- minder about our Club's rules. Please help us out by making sure that your children and guests are also aware of our rules. Some of our most commonly forgotten rules include: > Hats should not be worn in the clubhouse. > Denim is welcome in the clubhouse only, but any denim, even if designed for a special "look" that is frayed, cut, "bleach- stained," ill-fitting and/or soiled is inappropriate and therefore prohibited. At no time is denim allowed on the golf course or practice facilities. I understand that denim or other pants with holes or fraying are in fashion, but they are inappropriate attire at El Niguel. > Cell phone usage is not allowed in any of the dining areas, such as the Mixed Grill, Lounge, Men's Grill, Ladies Card Room and Terrace Dining Patio. > Guests must be accompanied by their Member host when on property. > All Members and guests should check in with the Pro Shop before heading out to play or practice. We were a little relaxed while we were under renovation and need to all be mindful moving forward. I have also asked the staff to be more aware and we will be giving you respectful reminders if we see any violations. We appreciate your continued support of the Club and always welcome your feedback and suggestions for ways that we can continue to improve your Member experience. – KIMBERLY WOOD, General Manager THE DIVOT EL NIGUEL COUNTRY CLUB 23700 Clubhouse Drive Laguna Niguel, California 92677 (949) 496-5767 • elniguelcc.com 2018 OFFICERS President Vic Memenas 1st Vice President Sam Pavoni 2nd Vice President Ruthie Sheffield Secretary Scott Davis Treasurer Bill Bowler Assistant Secretary Kimberly Wood BOARD OF DIRECTORS Vic Memenas, Sam Pavoni, Ruthie Sheffield, Scott Davis, Ryan O'Kane, Chris Robles, Tom Maruscsak, Scott Holmes, Bill Bowler, Ann Morris (Ex-Officio) COMMITTEE ORGANIZATION Entertainment Chairman Ryan O'Kane Co Chairman Ruthie Sheffield Finance Chairman Bill Bowler Co Chairman Sam Pavoni Golf Chairman Chris Robles Co Chairman Sam Pavoni House Chairman Tom Maruscsak Co Chairman Scott Holmes Membership Chairman Scott Davis Co Chairman Chris Robles Rules and Bylaws/Legal Chairman Ruthie Sheffield Co Chairman Scott Davis Planning Chair Steve Dixon Co Chairman Jeff Allen 2018 WOMEN'S GOLF ASSOCIATION Chairman Ann Morris Handicap/Awards/WSCGA Liaison Anita Clark Secretary Shirley Torrance Treasurer Jeanne Adams Major Tournaments Tricia Baumgardner Tuesday Tournaments Linda Jo O'Kane Membership/Social Ginger Geidt Publicity/Roster Marcy Tillman Team Captain Tricia Baumgardner Guest Day Maryly LeVeque Parliamentarian/Rules Bonnie Molaschi Nifty Niners Linda Klein STAFF General Manager Kimberly Wood kimberlywood@elniguelcc.com Head Professional Craig Plumley, PGA CraigPlumley@pga.com Controller Michael Harnetiaux michaelharnetiaux@elniguelcc.com Clubhouse Manager Andrew Lombard andrewlombard@elniguelcc.com Executive Chef Bruno Massuger bruno@elniguelcc.com Catering Director/Special Events Rena McCamey renamccamey@elniguelcc.com Building Superintendent Jerry Nihiser JerryNihiser@elniguelcc.com Concierge Carol Hammett frontdesk@elniguelcc.com ● GM'S MESSAGE
